Good Manners Weekend

Hey, there, dear sisters!

This weekend, I’d like to encourage us all to remember to use our best manners with our husbands. ????

We did this in the beginning when we were first dating. We were on our best behavior and wanted to impress our guys. Good manners are part of a building a strong, healthy marriage. They help to foster intimacy and trust even when you’ve been married for a long time.

The little things make a big difference over time.

Marriage Challenge:

1. Smile brightly. ✅

2. Seek to speak with a pleasant, friendly tone of voice. ✅

3. Try to use words and phrases like:✅

  • Please
  • Thank you!
  • Excuse me/pardon me
  • You’re welcome
  • I apologize (without justifying what I did wrong)

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Romans 12:10

Prayer

Lord,

Help us use beautiful manners with our husbands to show them honor because we love and reverence You. Help us to do good to them all the days of our lives and never do them harm. Make us a blessing to our husbands and marriages. And may our thoughts, words, and actions bring joy to Your heart most of all. Please empower us by Your Spirit to love with Your love.

Amen!

    1. Jennifer,

Thank you! It’s good to be back. Yes! When we pay attention to these little details it makes such a big difference. Our willingness to show honor to our husbands opens up communication and intimacy in beautiful ways, many times.

Thanks for sharing. Praying for us all to yield to the Spirit’s control to let Him guide our thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions. We all need Him every moment! Praying for God’s blessings on our relationship with Him and on our marriages for His glory.

      Much love!
