Would you treat your husband differently if you knew that a lot of women were looking to you as an example of being a godly wife?
What if they are?
Your daughters, your neighbors, your church members, your coworkers, your extended family, your mother-in-law, and every woman around you ARE watching your marriage example.
You know what? The men around you, your sons, and husband are also watching.
All of these people notice whether you live for God or not in the way you interact with your husband and family.
Unbelievers and believers watch and learn from your witness, whether you are conscious of it or not. Whether it points them to Jesus or not.
And it could be that one day in the future, God gives you a ministry where even more women want to know all about the story of your life and marriage to learn how they can set a godly wife example in their own lives.
What will you want to say to thousands of women in the future about being a godly wife?
Do you ever think about the example you want to set even as you face trials today?
What if God wants to use your life to inspire many other women in their faith in Jesus in the future? Or even now?
You have a large audience of your Christian witness
The saints and heroes of the faith who have gone before are watching, cheering us on in heaven, encouraging us to be godly wives and follow their examples. All the angels are watching. So are the demons.
Then even if all these others weren’t watching, the truth is that God is watching. He knows every motive of your heart, every thought in your mind, every word, and every action all day every day of your life.
You will stand before Him in the future face-to-face.
What do you want God to say to you?
My greatest desire is to hear Him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord!”
I don’t have the power to be a godly wife in my own strength.
Thankfully, I don’t have to use my strength or wisdom. Jesus offers me all of His power and His Spirit to do what He calls me to do.
He loves me dearly—and you, too. So much He came to live the perfect life we couldn’t live and die the death we deserved on the cross. He died for us and was buried. Then He rose to conquer sin, death, and the grave on my behalf—and yours!
Let’s live in His resurrection power in our marriages even today.
Why don’t we let Him transform us and empower us to be the women He calls us to be so we don’t have to have regrets? Right now. Today!
Let’s let Him shine through us to everyone who is around us, loving them with His love. Living a holy life set apart for His good purposes. Seeing our husbands and children with His eyes and His heart.
Think about the legacy you want to leave behind. And about seeing Jesus’ eyes blazing with love for you in heaven when this short life is over.
Let’s start living that beautiful, Christlike legacy even today. Not for our glory, but for His!
Jesus gave everything for us. Now we get to give everything for Him!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us… Heb. 12:1

Ways I Disrespected and Hurt My Husband
Thank you April for this wonderful reminder and timely post. It is true that our husband and children even small children are watching. Even when kids are not yet expressing with words, they know what’s going on. They can sense the way we act and carry ourselves in our homes. The Enemy really taunts women in this way because who else is meant to be the closest person to a husband and their children- us, women and wives. If he can set us off, he doesn’t have to set each individual person off because when we loose self control, the whole house is on fire and it sucks the air out of the room. It ruins moments and poisons the atmosphere. The enemy wins and we are unable to witness to those around us. Sadly, we cannot pray effectively and we open the door for the enemy to attack. God help us to be aware of this in Jesus Name. Thank you so kind.
Blessedbeyond,
You are most welcome. Yes, if we realized how important our example was, we would be a lot more conscious of it every moment throughout the day. Yes, we have TONS of power. For good or for evil.
May we use this incredible position for much good to bless our families and everyone around us. And, above all, to bring joy to the Lord!
Thanks for sharing!
Much love,
April
