Prayer Day

Wednesdays are a special day of prayer here!

If you have a request you would like my prayer team and I to pray for, you may leave it in the comments .  Please be sure to include names of people who have not given their lives to Christ as Savior and Lord!

If you would like to be on my prayer team, you may commentl. ūüôā ¬†I ask my team to pray for requests on Wednesdays primarily – and sometimes a few requests throughout the week. ¬†We also pray for each other by email. ¬†You are welcome to fast on Wednesdays as we pray if you want to, or not – it is up to you. ūüôā

Lord,

I lift up this precious group of people to Your throne room in the highest heaven. ¬†The fact that You would allow us to enter the Holy of Holies and to intrude where tens of thousands of angels are continually singing Your praises just amazes me. ¬†Thank You for Jesus’ blood shed for me! ¬†Thank You for Your willingness to become a human, taking on the form of a humble servant, enduring the weight of the sin of all of humanity and suffering Your own holy wrath for our sake!

The only proper response we can possibly give is to fall on our knees in total surrender, honor, thanksgiving, praise and self-sacrifice for Your Name!

Cleanse us of all unrighteousness, Lord!  Remove our selfishness, pride, unforgiveness, our hearts of stone, our rebellion against Your Word, our idolatry of ourselves, our desire to be in control and make You in our own image, our irreverence in Your holy presence.  Forgive us for our greed, our materialism, our neglect of the poor, the needy, the orphans, the sick and the widows.

Give us new hearts, new desires, new longings for You.  Give us a new life in You, Lord Jesus!  Let us make You truly LORD of all. Let us yield and submit ourselves fully to You, holding nothing back.  Make us the people You desire us to be.  Let us love what You love.  Let us hate what You hate.  Remove all the divisions among us in our marriages and families, and in our churches.  Give us Your powerful Spirit of love, unity, generosity and godliness and prepare and equip us to make disciples where we are and all over the world in Your Name.  Let us obey all of Your commands as we walk in Your Spirit.  Let us use the abundance You have given us to share with those in great need Рour material possessions and the Life of Christ.  Use us to care for the abandoned, unwanted and unloved children in this world.  Use us to give so that others can have clean water and food and shelter and hear the gospel of Christ.  Let Your Spirit sweep through Your church, bringing us to our knees in repentance and faith.  Mold us into the image of Christ.  Renew our hearts and transform our minds with the power of Your Word.  Let us turn our backs on our culture and friendship with the world and pursue You with all our hearts, with all our minds, with all our souls and with all our strength!  Let us desire to exalt Your Name and share Your glory in this world!

In the Name and power of Christ,

Amen!

My grandmother is on hospice and won't be with us much longer (11-30-16). I will get to comments when I am able to but I need to be with family right now. Thanks for understanding.
